Most linklist owners have their category pages on the same domain as their main site. I was wondering if there is any merit to having a seperate domain for different categories using an index page in the root of the domain.

"mydomain/linklist/babes.php"

becomes

"babesdomain/index.php"

any SE advantages? A waste of time and money perhaps?
