Just to add to this real quick, there does come a time in business though where even a sponsor needs to be realistic, for instance, would you rather your sponsor go belly up and not pay at all because the sponsor lost their ass on the $35 per Join, and had no consoles to try and recoup that $ differance?
After all paying $35 up front for a trial membership for instance means the sponsor is already behind let's say $31.05, assuming that surfer sent in doesnt chargeback or refund, now a sponsor must HOPE and ofcourse work very hard to retain that member, even with a rebill price of $34.95 a month that means IF the member rebills the sponsor now profited $3.90.
At some point something has to give, being someone that has used sponsorship programs for many years before starting my own, I always clearly understood that business is business, I would rather keep getting a check than to hear bad news about a sponsor kicking the bucket because they gave away the farm, Cross Sales, Console Sales, etc. gotta keep in mind every webmaster is out to make as much money as possible, so if that means a give me more concept, thats only right. Someone does have to put the breaks on though and say hey, let's be realistic here.
