A new reality show is casting in NYC. I got an email from the staff, since i'm NA and married I guess. They are looking for ethnic types to SWAP households for 2 weeks. I'd get someone elses home/kids/husband etc. they'd get mine.

Dear Dr. Morrison:
You have been identified as an American Indian or Alaskan Native mother, and ABC Television wants to hear from you. The network is currently producing a reality show, tentatively titled " The Swap", and you could be the person for the job.

The idea is simple, if bizarre. Two women will switch places for ten days, each raising the other's children and doing other mom-type things. Associate Producer Amie Baker says that during the first five days the moms try to fit into the routine and adopt the lifestyle of the new family. For the second five days the new mothers make any changes they see fit and run the home they way they like. Baker says the key to making the show entertaining is diversity, and Native Americans, underrepresented on television, would be a perfect fit.

" That would be great. We want an accurate depiction of American life. It is not a specific ethnic group we are looking for, we want to show a broad definition of American life," Baker said.

Traditional Indian women, or any woman for that matter, might have a problem with letting another female stay in their home for 10 days while they are away, but we assure you there won't be any hanky-panky; the women will sleep in a room seperate from their new "husband," and, of course, will not be required to perform any "wifely duties."

Look at it this way: for a week and a half you can let someone else deal with things like getting your kids ready for school.

Casting is open for the next several weeks. Participants will have to set aside ten days for the show.
