Anywhere outside of Manhattan is "Upstate" plus our choo-choo meanders through such picturesque places as Croton-on-Hudson, Albany, Saratoga Springs, Utica, Rome, Syracuse (maybe we'll glimpse the U while chugging by) ... etc etc before arriving in Beautiful Downtown Buffalo ..
That's about as upstate as it gets on the way to WESTERN NY...
