I thought it was an interesting production with some clever style, worth watching. The storyline was a little conventional, i would have liked to have seen some deeper stranger crisis than just the old "must protect females of breeding age, keep for myself..." theme.
Some compelling scenes, like when the father gets infected by the droplet, even tho you had to stretch believability, it had an alternate believeability, the awareness of the little thing that comes out of nowhere and destroys you.
I don't get a lot of conventional horror anymore but when you add a science fiction spin I usually enjoy it, even when it's pretty bad, like The Core or Underworld.
