The sponsor is the only one who has stats on this. Basically adding the number of the particular banner allows the sponsor to view individual banner stats. This could work for you if the sponsor could give you the information.
I believe the best way for an affiliate to do campaign tracking is to have multiple account numbers with the sponsor. We agree this is not ideal and are working on other solutions as I speak.
