Usually I keep the blinds closed since it's so bright most days but with them open I can see the water in the canal from my desk chair. Right now the most interesting thing out there is the land crab walking around by the fish-cleaning table.

Can't zoom in enough to get a good pic but here are a couple of shots of the canal from the window by my desk. Not much rain but you can see the palm trees are getting blown to the west by the winds curling in from the east. And you'd have to know there are usually a couple more steps down to the water from the house across the canal to know how much the water has risen today.
