I've never promoted them before, though I have been signed up for years. Actually, I did test them a month or so ago, but very briefly because there were zero sales in an amount of time that my standard sponsors in that same slot would have produced multiple sales. I decided to give them a slightly more thorough try this time. I'm not saying that I sent a ton of traffic to them, because I didn't. They would have had to converted really well for me to look past the stats issue.
I don't have the patience to throw 5,000 hits at a sponsor to see if they finally convert. If I don't see a sale pretty quickly, your banners get tossed. Honestly, if a sponsor claims that Site A is converting at 1:350 - and I don't see a sale after 351 - GOODBYE.
My traffic is too precious for experiments.
