If you read the fine print on most webmaster pages, you can safely and easily bypass their rules for using those premade reciprocal link thingies and do your own as long as you follow certain guidelines. One of my tricks is when I see a link list I want to submit to, I read the rules, carefully. I check out a dozen or so sites that they have listed to see what inspirations I draw. Then I read the rules again. If a link list has a rule you can't abide by, don't compromise yourself. Just move on to the next. As to most all of the link lists accepting your site? I will be very very surprised because none of the better known lists you refer to accept blind links. Link-o-rama isn't more tasking - the rules are very clearly stated and fairly applied.

Useless and Mateusz and Starman are all very very valid in their constructive criticism. Perhaps by the time the guys get back you will have a site ready to submit to them. If you ask for help in the newbie forum, I bet you get it. If this doesn't make sense to you, or it raises your hackles, don't resist... don't fight.. just quit while you are ahead.
