The rules are not there to be ignored, and I seriously doubt many link lists will list a site that deliberately ignores them. I don't think the benefits that you've listed to get special treatment will carry any weight at all.
Also, some of us have been sticking to the rules quite nicely for a few years, and I find it a bit insulting that you think you can get special treatment when you've decided that they shouldn't apply to you - even some of the most basic ones.
Your example isn't really a freesite, but it does look like it's a shortcut to getting more traffic than regular freesite builders. You obviously have the skills to be able to design a decent freesite, so why not do it?
