I fell asleep Thursday night watching the NCAA games as there were all boring, but hell, last night's games were awesome. I knew Cleveland St was gonna give Wake a run for their money since I know they beat Butler twice this year, but they handed them their asses. Ohio St/ Sienna 2OTs and then Wisconsin winning in OT. Didnt even bother filling out any brackets this year since I didnt pay attention to college basketball this year due to my Hoosiers sucking big fat donkey dick, but I still cant pull myself away from the Madness, haha.

My duties as a softball coach are now going 100% as the weather has warmed up enough to be practicing regularly now. Geez, I have some pretty big expectations this year, haha. Last year was the first year I coached and the first year after 5 years we actually finished with a winning record, so now what does the team expect?? Nothing short of winning our division and moving up to a higher division for next year, haha. The top 4 teams from last year all tied for 1st and they made all 4 teams move up, so that leaves the top 3 teams returning from last year us and 2 other teams, and we all finished with the same record, and one of those teams split up (all their good players got pissed at the coach and started a new team in another division) which means only the coach and a handful of players are the same, which probably means they are gonna be a last place team. So with the exception of that 1 team, we dominated all the returning teams from last year. So pressure is higher than ever to win at all costs. I like to win, but I mainly play and coach to have fun...... BUT I agreed with half the team (the half that wants to win at all costs) that I would coach to win it all this year. They all got together and agreed they still wanted me to coach, but only if I would coach to win, if I didnt want to go that route I could play with them and one of them would coach to win, but they wanted to get a bunch of new players which would have split the team up, and since I like all the guys, I am trying to walk the line of winning, but still having fun. And another thing to keep in mind here is that the other half of the team that just wants to play for fun is my wife's family and my best friend, so it makes things even more stressful, haha. So far all I've done is not ask back the bench players. and replaced 1 or maybe 2 starters. So we have at least 1 new starter and a whole new bench. Hopefully it'll be enough since it seems the level of competition has seemingly dropped off quite a bit.

Hahaha, you guys are probably wondering why the fuck I'm going on and on about softball on here, but I needed to vent some stress, hahaha. I started playing because it makes me feel like a kid again and when I was growing up playing baseball is what I lived for. When I started playing softball the last thing I ever dreamed of happening was becoming coach and having all this added stress, haha. But for some unknown reason the guys really like me and respect my knowledge of the game and I ended up being nominated as coach last year. Now the burden all falls on me to keep the team together and keep 14-16 guys all happy.
