I pretty much just try to do a bit of everything anyway figuring that things change so much that trying just one thing doesn't usually work anyway so one more is all good.
Personally I don't see anybody knocking Google from the top. Over half my traffic is from Google and it just keeps on growing each month.
The Google search box is built right into Apple's web browser Safari and Windows users seem to love the Google Bar.
