I send directly to the sponsor site and to a landing page.
If you make a landing page you can then use a regular link code, ie., with consoles, and the extra $5 or so per sign-up can buy more clicks. Plus you can have a money bar at the bottom of the page if they don't click thru to your main sponsor.
But if you link directly to the sponsor, you don't have to pause your ads if your domains are down for whatever reason. (Which has happened to me
