What I'm seeing this month is about the same number of signups but a big drop in dollars per sale. One of my favorite sponsors offers an option to either signup for a monthly rebilling membership or just pay to see the specific episode the surfer wants to see. This month and last month I see a lot more opting to pay per view at less money. Which sucks since I used to generate 3-month, 6-month and 1-year signups earlier this year from identical traffic.

Besides blaming Facebook (of course), I think the combination of the non-stop coverage of the oil volcano in the Gulf of Mexico together with the lack of noticeable improvement in the economy (for most people) has a lot of surfers who aren't looking for free porn cutting back on their spending. They see the people of the states bordering the Gulf having their lives destroyed and no way near enough being done to make them whole and their subconscious starts whispering "you could be next."
