Limited with what you could do with it is right. I have LE that came bundled with a program I am using and I have to tell you it is the most worthless POS I have ever seen, no exaggeration, hands down.

later version might not be supported by this older version blah blah blah
BUT, by the time the LE actually opened the file, it was trash. Utterly useless to me.
Unfortunately I don't have a screaming need for PS on a daily basis, just something that would be nice to have to tweak the hell out of some projects, but its frustrating trying to use LE when I am so used it having PS at my fingertips.
ardentgent........what are you going to be using elements for? If you answer is graphic design for the web.......then the best thing you could do is recycle aluminum cans or something to scratch up the cash for photoshop. Its one of those investments you'll be smiling about for years afterward honestly. And there are literally thousands of tutorials for photoshop ranging from tweaking pics to full on graphic-gasms.
