I have been to 3 or 4 years ago when they were cheaper. MadHatter and I are not really into partying, but we did get to talk to a lot of people in the industry. We got two different jobs we worked for other companies by going to the shows, and met people that we have been friends with for years.

It is a good way to put a face with a name, and some of the best advice I ever got in this business was discussing F2F with people at shows. I can think of two times that I got advice that I followed that made me money.

Also just walking the booths, I found companies I have never heard of and promoted in the past.

It is like anything else, you get out of it what you put in. The show isn't real long, so once they start posting a schedule, figure out what your must go to things are. (as far as seminars, etc). If you have sponsors you do a lot with, find out if they are having a meet/greet somewhere and go.

Some of my best memories are going to dinner with the guys at Free Net Pass and getting a lot of great info. Going to a party and talking to Lensman. And sitting and picking UW's brain at a meet and greet.
