There are a few different ways that I know of to purchase traffic. The most simple and unproductive way is to purchase traffic from a site or broker who sells clicked or skimmed traffic. That kind of traffic comes from sites who usually but not always run a circle jerk(CJ) where all surfers are redirected from the image they clicked on to your site and other sites that purchase traffic and the surfer never sees the image they intended to see no matter how many times they click on that image.
The next way to purchase traffic in my opinion is to purchase a submit account at some huge site that allows you to place links to your other sites on your freesite or gallery submissions. The best thing about this kind of traffic is you will make sales by the traffic seeing your submission and you may get a few hundred folks to your site for the duration of the submission being on the front page of the site you submitted to. I don't like purchasing submission accounts from sites that skim traffic unless they are huge and well respected.
The most expensive and maybe the most productive, I don't know I have not tried this yet is to purchase a gallery spot on a large site.You would give the site owner access to you images and they would post those images on there site in a predetermined spot for the duration of the agreement. I have seen big sites charge $1200.00 or more for the first image on the first row of the site. This will get you the traffic but the price is steep. I bet there are sites with better prices out there that will still send you a lot of traffic.
