Hospice are ANGELS, rely on them. I've watched how hospice helped my ex mother-in-law, and how they helped my mom easing her with pain medications from this phase on to the other.
Hang in there buddy! I got thrown from a horse and didn't know where I was on and off for a few weeks, the forgetfulness and all the rest will go away soon.
