It's down in the fifties this morning which I guess would be warm for people living in less tropical places but way too cold for my southern ass.
Went to Ren-Fest yesterday. It was a warm morning with highs near the eighties so we dressed for warm weather wearing shorts, tank tops and flip flops. Knowing that it was probably going to rain we brought umbrellas with us in our backpacks. Sure enough it rained as expected with forty mile an hour winds that passed by quickly just as expected. What wasn't expected was having the temperature go down into the low sixties with a wind chill that felt like the low fifties as the front moved over us.
I ended up walking around the festival wrapped in a dirty blanket from the back of our friend's pickup truck that smelled like a wet dog with my feet going numb from the cold.
I look like I have a battery pack on my back.
Lots of work to do today along with having to run some errands.
