Went to go bike riding, didn't want to miss 'The Network', after that ended, walked the dog, rain rolled in. Once the rain cleared up, I thought, I won't make it back in time to see the Mars landing, so, I won't ride tonight. Watched the Mars landing, decided to at least put in a few miles, mounted up on the bike, something didn't feel right, rear tire was flat.
172.4 miles from brand new to flat. I can't see anything on the tire that caused a problem, the tube has a slow leak. So, I figured, I'll grab my spare that I carry with me - it has a hole and leaks quicker than the other tube. Grabbed my patch kit which I haven't used in 20+ years, glue is hard as a rock.
I'm glad the flat happened at home, though, I'm sure I could have pumped the tire up and at least gotten home as it had felt soft the day before. So, off to the store to buy a new tube and a new patch kit.
Hope everyone has a good Monday.
