The reason I said this is because I know for a fact is thst it's very hard to monetize search engine sites because I own few of them, I treat them as a complement to my network.
Ppc ratio is way lower than on any other my sites with similar amount of traffic thus my conclusion that site pointing to other external sites makes less money than a site with a real content.
