Yeah - he is a hero & it is a shame, but the sad thing is that he didn't want any of this media coverage - alive or dead.
After 9-11 he said he was gonna quit football & go into active duty. After he made that statement, he never gave another interview. He didn't want his deciding to go into the military to be a "big deal" just because he was an NFL player.
