Just back from the Welsh borders (England side) visiting my father.
He has not been able to use his mobile 'phone for a few weeks. He tried using another company's sim in a locked 'phone. It did not work (obviously) and when he put the original sim back in, that did not work either. He thought that they had cut him off for trying to use another company's sim. It did not make sense to me, so I looked at it for him....The problem was - his battery needed recharging!

My wall calendar agrees with you, but my desk calendar says M T W T F S S ! I think is is because the one on the wall is a "bought from a shop" calendar, but the one on my desk is a "business freebie" calendar, and the
business week starts on Monday!
