Hand still hurts. I learnt a valuable lesson yesterday. If a lady is about to fall flat on her face, don't try to help. Instead let her fall and get ready to laugh. It is what God wants.
Puppy News
There are four tennis courts around one of the parks where I walk the puppy, so he often finds lost tennis balls and expects me to throw them for him. Today, while we were walking both dogs, the housekeeper found a discarded soccer ball, so kicked it for the puppy. A soccer ball is a lot larger than a tennis ball, and apparently, to a ridgeback, is a lot more scary!
Instead of chasing it, the puppy ran away from it.
She tried a couple more times then gave up. On the way back we passed the ball again, and the housekeeper tried again to interest the puppy. This time she got him to chase after it, but always stopping two to three feet from the ball, and refusing to approach it in case it was dangerous.
Then she hit a badly aimed kick. The ball flew at the puppy and hit him squarely on the nose. He ran!
Now he won't go anywhere near soccer balls. He thinks they sometimes attack. And when they attack, he thinks they punch you on the nose!
