A friend bought a new oven the other day, and reading the instructions he discovered it is a Jewish oven. Seriously! It has settings designed to get round the religious law that strict Jews observe that ban them from using an oven on the Sabbath. It is actually designed for that purpose.
I kind of think that if there is a God, he may be a little pissed off with a Jew who cooks on the Sabbath, but he will be even more pissed off with a Jew who deliberately buys something to get round a "loop hole" in the Jewish teaching.
Plus I'm kind of worried by the fact that the oven was manufactured in Germany. The Germans have a fairly dodgy record when it comes to making ovens for Jews!
