Just got in, found two emails from Facebook. The first telling me my advert was accepted, the second sent a few hours later telling me it was refused. I'll sort it out tomorrow, I'm cold from walking the dogs and hungry. Eat now, Settlers after (the game - not the indigestion medicine - I'm not that bad a cook), then bed. Work can wait until the morning.

Puppy News

Remember yesterday I told you that the puppy has got the "tree command" perfected? Well today he was playing with a pack of dogs being walked by a professional dog walker and managed to go round the far side of a tree while on a lead. I yelled "tree" at him but because he was busy playing it took him a while to obey.

The dog walker in charge of the pack has seen me struggling to train the puppy in the past, so assumed he still did not know the command, and went over to the tree to help untangle the lead.

At that point the puppy got what I was saying and obediently ran round the other side of the tree untangling his lead from it. But at the same time tangling the legs of the dog walker in his lead, not an improvement.

Fortunately the dog walker found the funny side. He had to really because while he was untangling himself, one of the dogs he was in charge of tried to rape the puppy in the ass!

Husky News

I mentioned that the husky is more spry. That continues. Normally I give the puppy a long walk first, then the husky a shorter walk. I told you that on Wednesday he dragged me on a longer walk than usual, and how it would have been longer still if he had his way (I cut it short for the good of his health). Yesterday he tried a new trick. He tried to get me to take him with the puppy as well as for his own walk, so as to have a double walk. I refused (again for the good of his health).

So today he accepted just the one walk. However as I was going home he tried to sneak out the door with me to get a second walk that way! (And it was his dinner time, his owner was trying to get him upstairs top feed him. If you know how greedy dogs are, you know how much he must have wanted to go for a second walk to be prepared to give up a meal for it!)
