My adult kids appear to have reconciled at least to spend a few hours together on Xmas eve. It was pleasant enough. I think my daughter went to sleep around 5am so we'll be opening gifts in the afternoon. I'll be my my wife's sous chef. First order of business is to find a grocery store open. There is a tiny one 5 minutes away and a large one about 20 minutes from our house. Christmas is the one day in Canada where just about everything is closed. We are having 12 for dinner so that is a lot of sous chefing to do.
