Good Morning Folks

Another warm humid day here again.

Yesterday my daughter had her uncle (my ex brother in-law) and his two sons over taking down a dead tree next to her house. She had been up the tree and cut most of one side down on Saturday.

Well it almost 90°F by 2 pm and they asked her to run to the gas station and pick up something to drink. So she left immediately to run an errand that should have taken 15-20 mins tops.

Unfortunately about 4 blocks from her house, on a main 2 lane artery, she was watching for kids and animals darting in front of her and missed the fact that 3-4 vehicles ahead of her (she drives low to the ground Toyota) that a truck had stopped to turn left. Not seeing any brake lights directly in front of her (the traffic between her and the truck were passing it on the right) she looked up to see the stopped/turning truck. Too late. She ran under his bumper and watched her hood crumple toward the windshield.

She's fine just minor bruises, needless to say she was terribly emotional and needed to be consoled so I went to her and her mother who was working came and consoled her too.

We both told her basically the same thing. Machines can be replaced but people can't and the we were glad that she was ok.

A Mother's Day to be remember here for the rest of our days.

Which kind lends it's self to the thread GG had about his kids. She's 32 but she needed her mommy and daddy. You never stop being a good parent.
