It is with deep sadness that I share the passing of Emerald, who left us peacefully today
She truly was the original Webmistress. As a founding member of The CONDOM Project (later Adult Netpond), Emerald generously helped countless newcomers entering the industry. Her website, Smut Gremlins, became a trusted resource and source of traffic for many free site builders, myself included.
Emerald and my wife first met in 1999 and quickly became friends. Their bond grew over the years, with each visiting the other at least once annually. My wife was by her side, holding her hand, when she passed.
She will be deeply missed
As for myself
I am grateful to have know her personally. She invited my wife and I to come stay with her when Sheepguy was having a gathering. We had never met, just chatted here on this board. We became friends visiting 2 to 3 times a year for a number of years. This is how I met face to face with a number of members around here. The memories are great!
Big thank you to Greenie's wife who reached out to mine to let us know that Emerald was sick. I had not talked to her in over 10 years, since I stopped my facebook, and it allowed me to chat with her over the phone a couple times before her passing
She will be deeply missed
