Good monday morning all,
it's gonna be a short week this week.. due to some katholic holidays most people don't have to work here on thursday and friday.
Some bad things happened this weekend. I went to that birthday party of a friend of mine on friday. He's also the singer/lead guitarist of our band. So the other members of the band where at the party to. The party went on until 4am or so. Our other guitarist lives a 10 mile drive away from where the party was so our singer suggested that he'd (the other guitarist) better be sleeping over at his house.
The other guitarist, Robin, drove home in his car anyway. 4 hours later our drummer got a call from Robin's hysteric mother. Apparently Robin fell asleep behind the weel of his 4x4 and had slammed into a tree.. The doctors were fighting for his live at the time of that call..
3 hours later we got another call from his mother to tell us he wasn't in a life threatening situation anymore. He had a broken jaw, his pancreas was ripped in 2 pieces, his kidneys and liver were damaged and he had some other small injuries. Now 2 days later he's awake but hooked up to a dozen machines and is still in intensive care. He can't talk because they had to lock his jaw...
We can only wait and hope that everything goes well..
So kidies.. another example of "don't drink and drive" (especially when you're totally wasted).
