But, with your people losing faxed copies of my SSN, driver's license and other sensitive material, I lost all confidence in the people behind your product.

I remember when this was happening. I think you may have cc'd me on something. When CS was telling you that you that we did not receive it, that's what it means. We can't lose something we never received. Of course we would want to help you in anyway that we could, under
any circumstances, but especially in that situation. I think it's unfair to say that due to that particular situation that you lost "all confidence". I'm not saying mistakes can't happen. Anytime people are invloved, mistakes can happen. But, ePassporte is a service organization and there is no incentive for them not to provide you with the best service that they can within their rules. If you had a bad experience, I'm sorry that you did. But that does not reflect on the whole product.

We have been hearing for well over a year that the ability to transfer funds directly to our bank accounts was "coming soon". And now, I can transfer money using my cell phone. Tell me, what possible use would anyone have for transferring money using their cell phone?

As for transferring money to your bank account, see my post to GreenGuy. That's all I'm saying about that right now. As for being able to move money from your cell phone.... you could check your balance at any time without having to be online or find an ATM, you could transfer money to any other account from anywhere... to your kids, your bookie, your babysitter, whomever... I mean... it's just an added flexibility. What you do with it is up to you. You could send money to friend in need anywhere in the world without getting out of bed.

There are a lot of people that are using EpassPorte because I told them it was the greatest new product since sliced bread. For those people, all I can say, I'm sorry...I was wrong.

No you weren't wrong so no apology necessary. You had an experience that didn't go as smoothly as it should have and seem to have got a bad taste in your mouth, but that's curable. There are a LOT of benefits to ePassporte and you know it as much or more than most.

For you, being able to take a few hundred out with your Electron card may be fine. But, I have a friend that started getting paid through EpassPorte by every sponsor he could a while back. He made much more than $500/day. And, every day to get his money, he had to go to an atm and withdrawal $500. See, he went through the same thing I did trying to get the limit raised. The ability to withdrawal $500/day from an atm was anything but convenient. He now gets paid by checks.

If you think about it, there had to be a damn good reason to have any kind of limitations / parameters on a brand new product being launched into an industry known for, shall we say less than honoralble practices. Enough said about that. Being able to move money from eP to your bank account is huge and requires a lot of work and planning to make it right. See my post above and hold your breath. No kidding.
