It's been almost a year since I've done TGP, but last time I checked, there was no shortage of submitters willing and ready to comply with the exisiting standards. Now, if a TGP could show that, say, 250x500 thumbs improved sales dramatically, yeah, everybody would jump on that bandwagon. But, as you said, it would become the standard - not an anomaly.

actually the problem is the amount of work, the comunauty really need a good tool to create good thumbs quality. i know some have custom tools to do that. we all need a software that help us in our daily job. i know i know i am the one that said it's a waste of time, but by that i mean a biggest amout of work. another thing if a tgp is going to make an alternative thumbs size it must be a very good thing to have real hard working webmasters. not the lazy bastards who submit the same crap everywhere. it's a good trick to have a simplified reviewing ;-). but i really want that kind of tool on the market.
a good tool must be like 10 windows with the different sizes you need on the left, the original picture on the right, all the filters you need to make a beautiful thumb and a special crop by thumb of course . we dream about it if a guy want to do that must be a hit in this business.
I think it's called Photoshop...
