From the site-builder's perspective, you're correct. But I'm writing from the link-list owner's perspective. And if my "mature" section is full of sites with horrible content maybe I'm going to turn of some prospective bookmarkers.
Maybe other LL's are getting a better balance of sites submitted, but I'm getting disproportionate numbers of sites in the "mature" category that have the type of content I'm describing.
