I think pound for pound video still has more bang for the buck. And with the right settings on good compression software you should be able to produce a video that is clear and easily viewable by someone on a dial up modem. There is no reason why someone living in the backwoods somewhere shouldn't be able to see the great action people are putting in their videos, and moving pictures has always told it better then a picture.
Having said that, I do still believe that pictures can make a sale and satisfy a surfer if the picture(s) are well shot. Just a bunch of pictures in series won't do anything if they aren't well laid out with thought put into them. Make each picture count. Nothing, and I do mean nothing, is worse then bringing up a picture gallery and having to surf through 2-3 pages before ya see your first bare breast. You know, 15 pictures of some girl pulling the bottom of her shirt from her navel to her shoulders........ we have all seen those blatant attempts at increasing the picture count. But I think if there is a lot of thought into each picture taken that they still serve a very useful purpose.
