Where I live now...it's earthquakes...those suckers can sneek up on ya. At least there's some warning when a hurricance is coming.
The hurricane itself wasn't too bad where I was...was 'almost' looking forward to it when it was just a category 1 or 2. Category 4 was a bit much...but even then...being in a reinforced cinder block building...I never really felt unsafe.
Agree completely though...when they say leave...grab the dog and the girlfriend and get out. Let the insurance deal with whatever's left.
Sure seems like a great place to live. The house I bought is amazing...and the people down there seem very cool too
