For 3 months living in south Florida kind of sucks but for the rest of the year it is paradise here.
In the summer you learn not to go out in midday and to stay inside with the A/C on. In the morning or in the evening going to the beach and enjoying the fresh salty air is still very nice.
I've been here since 1969 and have yet to get a direct hit from a hurricane and we do get many days of notice to prepare when they do come our way.
I don't own any warm clothes as none are needed and for most of the year I keep the top out of my car and be thankful that I live is such a wonderful place.
