I remember those days but the difference back then was that clicks were either going to a trade or a paysite and for every trade popped there was also an exit popped - either an exit to a paysite of some CPM program. The pissed off surfers were constantly bombarded with some form of ad. With the TGP-CJs of today however there is an emphasis on no ads at all. It's quite a brilliant strategy (NOT!) - the less ads we show them the more they will click on thumbs which means more hits sent out to crappy FHGs and trades. In effect you get a pissed off surfer bouncing around from one site to the next without any sales pitch or ad in sight. The TGPs grow and rise up the traffic ranks but the income they make is basically pennies. It's a constant sacrificing of income to increase traffic levels when it clearly should be the other way around.

And pood you are indeed living in a fantasy world if you think the average 100K thumb TGP brings in 2K/month.
