True enough, Jim, but AFAIK there hadn't been any paraphernalia busts (at least not federal ones) for years either, until Parson Ashcroft decided it was time to make an example out of Tommy Chong.
Part of the nasty power-play of this sort of government threat is to let you know "we can move against you any time we want to." Both the porn and paraphernalia biz
are related - in the sense that operating either one is always a calculated legal risk in a way that selling sandwiches or lawnmowers is not. And so it's up to each individual to make their risk assessments for themselves. Hopefully we all make intelligent assessments, based on our own research and legal advice.
