this thread is kind of a waste of time (yes I read the entire thing). There are some undeniable facts stated repeatedly here and the bottom line is this entire thing could have been summed up in 2-3 replies.
1) LL/TGP owners are going to make descisions based on what is good for their business models.......period
2) Any given hosting company is going to make descisions based on what is good for their business models
Both of those facts are irreputeable(sp) and justified. If it just so happens that what is good for one is not good for the other then there won't be any relationship between the two.
If the hosting company can't realize that the 'rules' are there for a reason then thats their bad. Banning a host and having the host implicate that the LL business will suffer from it is patently absurd.
saying a host can't prevent malicious programs from being uploaded to their servers is again, absurd.
If your a hosting company, and you wish to continue to host sites with names containing words that will be banned, then deal with the fact that your going to be blanketed banned. Change the way you do business or count on not doing any business with any LL/TGPs
