Watching Kerry's concession now.
Well I am saddened.
In no way was I a big supporter of John Kerry, but I was and still am very anti Bush.
We do live in a democracy, and the people have spoken.
And from the only people in this country able to vote that matter (those who did their civic duty) the message is clear.
The country is still as severely divided as 4 years ago, but this time it gave Bush a mandate.
Thank goodness that as long as Bush won, he did so sizably.
This way Kerry was able to concede graciously without dragging the issue out.
If we the US are to enforce our beliefs on the rest of the world, we had better be damn sure to show they work.
It is an unfortunate thing that in a country of over 300 million people, these two candidates are the best we could put forth.
Though I am dissapointed that my candidates (both Kerry by default and Castor by choice) lost, the good citizens of both Florida and the US HAVE spoken.
Yes Cleo our Broward along with Palm beach and miami/dade went pro Kerry, but unfortunately that was damn near all in Florida.
4 more years of Ashcroft*shudder*
That scares me the most .
