John's honesty really isn't in question here, just his willingness to support an employee who really went off for no reason, should have accepted the rules as they exist and apply to all non-advertiser programs.

GG obviously had a crappy week of dealing with people being ignorant, stupid, or expecting some sort of special treatment where none has been offered or is available. Piles and piles of crap loads up over a period of time, and it all comes out together in one shot.
Some people don't understand how much they are imposing when they ask these sorts of things.
EJ, there really is nothing to add here. You made your case, and regardless of what the masses think, the deed is done. The "good" thing to do involves understanding what happened, how it could have been avoided, and get your employees to learn how to function better with the online communities. Your results will be better as a result.
