Just to touch on what Tommy said. I can vouche that it can and in most cases "happen" to you. I wasnt "screwed" so to speak, but I was working pretty much exclusively with a couple during my first years as an adult webmaster. We had contracts in place and re-upped them every 6 months. Well after the site had grown, following the 2nd year of working with them they decided that they no longer wanted a partnership and took the responsibility on themselves. The site had been established, they were retaining members for an avg. of 2 months after initial signup and went at it alone. I had no choice and after my rebills stopped so did the cash flow. It was an investment in time, that had paid off for a short period, but I had only put my "eggs" in one basket. And even though I had done all the work to get the traffic to the site, designed the site, revamped the site, it was STILL their site. They owned the domain, they owned the content, the hosting, the ccbill account, I was just merely an affiliate - so to speak. And once they decided to go in another direction and not renew our contract, I was left with no income from all the hard work. Live and Learn. It works both ways. All parties involved in this will bounce back, if they have any intentions of staying with the adult business.
