My Server Downtime - Please don't blacklist me (fuk.ca)

Apparently while I was sleeping last night someone used my server for an outgoing DoS attack and ev1 unplugged it shortly after 4am.

They're investigating it right now to find out what happened and all sites should be back up within the next half hour.

Most of my sites are on the domains fuk.ca and teensexpics.ca

Sorry for any inconvenience.

Got everything back up and on a faster fully managed server...

Ev1 support was totally useless, they kept telling me I had to wait until a tech was availible to investigate the security problem with my server. I asked if they could put it online in the meantime while we wait for the tech to investigate. They told me they couldn't because the tech support doesnt work out of the data center. Understandable... so I asked for a number that I could use to contact someone at the datacenter. They tech support guy told me that they don't have phones at the datacenter, and the only way to reach them is to open a trouble ticket that can take hours to be received.

I already had started uploading all of my stuff to the new server... thankfully, because when I finally got the trouble ticket responce the tech said something fucked up when they unplugged the server and that it wouldn't boot up again. They wanted me to pay the system restore fee so they could do a fresh install on the system. Give me a break... im never doing business with these idiots again.

Then when talking to the customer service lady and cancelling my ev1 account, I told her I expected a refund for the unused remainder of the month. She told me that it's ev1's policy not to do refunds after the billing date and that I would not be able to get my money back. I told her that I bet mastercard would be more than willing to do a chargeback if they didn't give me a partial refund on the month. So now I get to call and chat with a supervisor tommorow...

I always wondered why people complain about ev1, I think i've figured it out... you get what you pay for.
