I am so glad that I found this site and you guys.. this site contains full of insightful information.

Ok, I have done some reading, so I have a rough idea on what I need to do to make some money with adult stuff ..

1. run my rip program and copy all other paysites and their content.

2. Put them on DVD and sell them on my private E store

Just kidding

For real,

I am thinking of doing free sites/promo sites first.

Here are my check list:

0. Register domain name because nobody like IP address.

1. Get pay host becuase the free ones are not too welcomed by other link hosters.

2. Get (buy) some contents for my site.

but, if i am promoting a paysite, would not the paysite provide me with contents where I can put on my free site?

3. design eye pleasing but clean and easy to navigate sites

4. Obey the rules (aka professionalism, ethic etc ..)

Have I missed out any?

Few more questions:

5. Are there pay sites that pays to just bring them traffic? If so, which ones?

6. any recommandation on site hosters?

Welcome to the board Work4Food

You have a very good game plan set up there. The only comments I have are on #2 - some sponsor content is very overused (some to the point that any content the sponsor put out is considered bad) so that's one of the things that you have to consider before you go & get content for the site.

And #5 - there are not too many PPC (Pay Per Click) programs around anymore - they were too easy to cheat on both ends

Green guy, my worry is then if i send crap load of traffic to a pay site but I do not sell them .. then I lose? Since I 'll the one paying for all that bandwidth?

Also, If I am promoting a pay site, shouldn't my content from that paysite?

So, beside making membership sales, are there other ways I can generate money from my promo/free sites?

You really don't have to go out of your way to purchase fresh content from content providers. As Greenguy said, if the content happens to be overused, most of the time, it's the FREE sponsor content that is oversaturated. In that case, some programs will allow you to use the fresh content in the member's area to promote their site (just make sure you ask beforehand).

Yes, you should use sponsor content for sites that look like they have exclusive content (reality sites and so on). If you promote a cookie-cutter paysite that specializes in the teen niche, you can get away with buying teen sets to promote with without losing too much in terms of conversions.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by that question. If you mean other payout methods besides PPS/Revshare, there are free ezines, email signups, dating sites, etc.

99.8% of the traffic you sent a paysite will not buy anything & thus cost you money. it's that 0.2% of the people that we all make money off

Contest is one of those things that no one can really put into words or lists as far as what's overused & what's not. I have 4 people reviewing my links & if one of them sees a lot of content promoting Joe Blow's Megasite then they might decline the submit. But that's not to say that the next Link List you submit to has not seen the content a lot & will list the site.

Believe me, I know it sucks - LOL

As others have said, looks like you have a great plan so far, better than many others starting out. Looks like you did your homework...

You could also surf the tgp's get an idea what content/sponsor gets used the most, see what not to use.

...and don´t believe in those amazing converting rates. As GG said, most of the traffic is lost. Try to filter your traffic and send the surfer where he want´s to go. Have a look at your stats and you´ll soon see what is doing well for you.

I would highly recommend that you use a paid hosting service. Many TGPs, link lists, etc. do not accept sites hosted on a free hosting service.

Webair.com is a good, reputable hosting service with pretty low prices.

Once you build up, move onto a dedicated server.

The problem with free hosting it that it has too many traffic leaks. The best will just add banners and sell to your hard earnt traffic. The worst will steal your surfers and load dialers and other malware on their computers. Free hosting does have it's uses, but you need a couple of years experience before you can take advantage of it without messing up your business.

is cleanadulthost.com reputable?

i burnt all my bandwidth and need more sales before i hit the minimum to send my cheques so i signed up with them.

they put three links on my galleries, 2 in the form of banners and 1 on the bottom advertising the host itself. banner links dont pop up anything on entry or exit.

i recomend 2hot2sexy.com to anybody starting out. only 1 banner at page top and host link on bottom. no exit entry popups with their sponser either.
