Anyway I made a post here about the awstats and in that post I put in about a new software I have been demoing
whoson. And yes it works off a unix/linux box.
its $120 for the softwae and if you have ftp access to your logs thats all you will need. anyway heres the reason i have decided to buy this today

hacker tried to come to the site. How do I know? Well after 6 attemps to take a specific DLL from the server. Not any thing anyone should need on my site. The software automaticly blocked them in my IIS. You can manuly do this as well but its nice to know that feature is there and you can set it has high or low as you like. It also send me a nice mail warning instantly. Any shameless promo for whoson.com they got my C note...
