The guy was a civil engineer wanting permission to enter my property at my old house. Most people know that I got rid of the house but am keep the land. Which, by the way is landlocked and my neighbors wanted to buy. It's about 57 acres. They have this plan to divert the creek and put spikes in the creek bed to stop the ice that collects in town and every year floods. So, we look at the maps and the guy says, "Oh my god, you own all the land we plan on building the spike device and flooding". So I ask, what's next??? He tells me to get my logger to write a statement as how much the logging would be worth over the next 100 years and that will be the price the state pays me for the land.

Since I made about $55k from 10 acres and the land can be logged every 15 years, I wonder how much my logger will come up with

Quick calculations tells me that it would be worth well over $1 million. But, that has got to be a pipe dream

But it's a good one while it lasts. They have to pay me for it but...who the hell how much? He told me the rules of eminent domain is I can turn down the first offer but must take the second. They are taking my land for sure...and, I could be very rich from this new deal
I truthfully think that my neighbors all knew about this and that would be the reason they all wanted to buy it. I am just glad I held on to it.
