Looking for advice on a contest

I wife has been talking about this contest she found out about on the camsite she works. The contest is listed here
http://www.lsawards.com/ They have www.livesex.com as the orginizer of the contest.
They are also offering a webmaster contest. Both the WM and the model winners will win 100k each. 7 models and 7 wm will win 5k. And 100 win $500.
First let me say I'm not saying this is a good or bad awards program cause I don't know anything about these companies. My main concern is my wife wants to enter and that kind of rubs me the wrong way because the contest is out of the country and I see they don't have any sponsers listed. Seems strange to me to have a contest that in order to win you must show up at the party. I just get this feeling it's like Yeah you won but now you have to do "THIS" to get your winnings. Being this is not a contest held in the states what would I be able to do? You hear some strange stories of people being lured to other contries with the promiss of $ only to get themselves in a nightmare once they are there. Or is it my over active imagination and untrusting ways?

I don't know anything about the company either, but I can certainly understand your radar going off.

A quick whois on the lsa domain shows it's pretty new. But their name servers are registered to a company I've heard of that's been around for a couple years. Their corporate sponsor is paycom.eu, which should be a good thing.

It's probably legit...probably. Any chance you could go with her to the event?

With the current job it would be a pain to head there, that's a big reason why I'm concerned. I think the foot is going down on this one. I could most likly take off work to go but if I'm going to that and fly someplace I'm going to a convention. I did not see the sponsers on the left side. They dont have any listed on their sponser link I tend to over look the flashy banner stuff these days and go right for the links.
