Redirecting surfers according to bandwidth speed.

The web is changing as more and more people get broadband. Pages are getting heavier, ie: paysite tours and TGP/MGP's with their huge thumbs. It's not uncommon to see pages close to 500K or more. (that would take a dialup user over a minute)

I'm sure the dialup user expects this nowadays, but it is possible to redirect them, based on their connection speed, to a lighter page.

Has anyone here ever tried this or heard of anyone in our industry utilizing it?
