Away for a few days

Hello All

Since this is the place where all my favorite link list owners hang...thought it would be a good place to drop a note.

Just sold my home on the left coast...preparing to move to Florida

Leaving tomorrow to go house hunting down there...woohoo! A friend has generously offered to let me use his little vacation condo while I'm there...very cool

But the condo doesn't have a phone line...sooo, not even dial up net access

So, looks like I'll be completely out of touch if anyone tries to reach me via e-mail. Just didn't want anyone to think I was ignoring them...lol.

My host is keeping a sharp watch over my servers...so that shouldn't be an issue

I'll be back in a week! Wish me luck!

Thanks for the good wishes

I am excited about the move...cost of living down there is SO much better. Bigger, better homes at less than half the price of where I am now.

And the bass fishing is awesome...sounds good to me!

Excellent idea GG...I may just do that! Looking at one house tomorrow that's very promising...might just buy that one...and take the rest of the days off

Made it back from Florida...turned out to be quite a ride...was less than 20 miles south of Charley's land fall =/ Not something I'd care to repeat

Did find a great house though...and it's still there...so moving in a few weeks!

Glad to see you made it back safe and sound! BUT, if the hurricane is something you don't care to repeat....don't move to Florida! You'll get used to the hurricanes. Most aren't that bad, but they do happen. My best advice is..leave when they say leave, and party during the rest.

Yup, that's what I meant...don't wanna repeat riding out a storm of that size

Where I live now...it's earthquakes...those suckers can sneek up on ya. At least there's some warning when a hurricance is coming.

The hurricane itself wasn't too bad where I was...was 'almost' looking forward to it when it was just a category 1 or 2. Category 4 was a bit much...but even then...being in a reinforced cinder block building...I never really felt unsafe.

Agree completely though...when they say leave...grab the dog and the girlfriend and get out. Let the insurance deal with whatever's left.

Sure seems like a great place to live. The house I bought is amazing...and the people down there seem very cool too
