Q for other TCG affiliates

Hey all, I just recently started promoting TCG, and I'm having an issue that I'm curious about. I'm getting like 12% click through to the tour for Horny Spanish Flies, but I'm lucky if 10% of the people hitting the first page ever hit the second page or join page. Is this common, or is it just me? I love all the promo materials TCG offers (and in fairness this is the first of their sites that I'm really promoting), plus the stats are great...but they show me discouraging things like what I mentioned above. Is it just time for TCG to roll out some new tours?

Nope, definitly not just you Madmax. I've been having the same types of discouraging results in my stats as well for the last month & more. There's been weeks (up until November) where I would be pretty damned happy with the ratios. Could have been better, but I didn't complain. Certain reality based sites would get nice amounts of signups, where-as other classic sites would lag behind but get a few here and there.

I really love the promo materials they have too, but it seems as though it might be time for them to get some new tours going...it would help, that's for sure.

Never heard of them.

I kid, I kid.
I currently have about 20-25% first pagers clicking to the second page, but you have to keep in mind that I am a marketing genius. Not! I'm beginning to think tidal cycles and the amount of lint on the carpet of the stock exchange affect my ratios more than anything else. I may be down for couple of weeks then suddenly the next weeks sales balances it all out. I blame George Bush.

I did just receive a swank 'I Spy Cameltoe' hat from Laura Lee, so I'm pretty tickled.

My advice would be to stop looking/counting...

Is TCG converting for you...?
What are your total numbers? (uniques per sale)

Use the real numbers..... uniques/sales/cheque amounts as a guide... not indiviual page hits...

DD, TCG does convert for me, but there's periods where I'll see alot of clickthroughs...but no conversions. Last month was one of those months. You're right though about the uniques/sales.

I know it's the holidays and maybe there's a hundred more reasons. But oh well, they do convert and I'll still be pushing them regardless. Even though the sales suck from time to time.

UW: LOL you're a riot

TCG was cool for me the 1st month I started promoted them. Ratios were cool ... under 1:100 on the reality sites.
But now ... when I send almost twice more traffic than then, I'm getting almost twice less sign ups. I still can't figure out why this happens ... and it is not just me the only guy who complain about doing great in the first month and than when you think everything is cool and you send more and more traffic ... ratios go higher and higher and income less and less.

At least this is my case and a few more of guys I talked to. I do love TCG's reality sites and their support, but this "unexplainable" situation makes you feel something is not working properly.

CybrFire,

..additionally TCG have had server/hosting probs recently that has made much of their stuff slow at times.... nothing kills a surfer faster than a slow site

Yes, and luckily TCG has been adding a bunch of servers to help alleviate the stress on their very popular program.

Bottom line on TCG; they had a catastrophic server failure and they paid all of their affiliates for the downtime. They suffered horrible DDOS attacts and they have reacted by adding a lot servers and hardening their network. They're solid and dependable.

The server failure did suck, but luckily TCG can handle it and is getting the ball rolling again. I'll definitly back their solid dependability...they've always been on time with the checks and the staff is top notch!
